Okay so that nintendo lawsuit is bullshit, but they're not helping their case by announcing this like a week after nintendo announced the exact same thing...

Which is the exact copy of completely different game and not even made by Nintendo - so there is barely anything that their lawyers can add to the court with that.

Nintendo's about to file a lawsuit and say they invented planting seeds in the ground to grow vegetables

Nah, expecting Pocketpair to just twiddle their thumbs and do nothing until the lawsuit ends is silly and how you let bullies win. The correct play is to just move forward business as usual. Also there's like 10 different farming sim games announced in every Nintendo Direct anyway. It's an oversaturated genre at this point. Pokopia and this game included. The selling point to that game and this one will be because it has characters you like in it. Or if you like Hello Kitty you play Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Yeah, Pokemon is big enough that it can basically do: insert genre but with Pokemon. The crafting mechanics for Palworld make a farming spinoff a pretty obvious choice that lets them reuse existing game systems to do it.
