From what I could see, the statements being made were about how Yuki Kaji was rumored to have dated Maaya Uchida in the past, and how his wife, Ayana Taketatsu (as well as Yuki Aoi), dislikes Uchida. It was stemmed from Uchida's recent marriage announcement.

And that is literally snowball of events based on nothing but rumors and speculations that lead to whole defamation of Kaji on internet in the first place.
- Around early 2010's Kaji was (speculatively) dated HanaKana, according on literally nothing but rumors based on very same interests
- Then around 2014-2015, both are (presumably) broke off, which sparked yet another rumor with Kaji now dating Uchida instead, as they both were cohosts on radio program with very good chemistry - and at that time, it was the Maaya who was the initiator for (PRESUMED) relationship
- Meanwhile the relationship with Maaya who (PRESUMABLY) hopped on Kaji angered (SPECULATIVELY) two closest friends of HanaKana - Ayachi and Aoi, who completely disliked Uchida's actions, which deeply hurted HanaKana
- Couple of years later, Kaji (PRESUMABLY) decided that Maaya is not a soulmate to him and went to Ayachi instead, with their relationship goes at least a few years before their official marriage, with Kaji at same time completely cleared all the stuff with both HanaKana (who was already moved on at that point and already was in dating relationship with OnoKen) and Maaya
- Then now we come to the present day, with the news of Ishikawa Kaito and Maaya getting married and Kaji decided to congratulate Kaito in social media, which resurfaced the whole rumors from back in the day about Kaji been Uchida ex who not said a word in his congratulation words to Kaito about her, with his wife also (PRESUMABLY) not have the good relationship with Uchida
And that is basically the whole reason why Kaji's agency now decided to step in.

So... just a whole lot of hearsay and assumptions and gossip.

Yes. Also some of this story involve the Bunshun too, which are despite been the obvious media tabloid sometimes been very on point with their rumors investigations, but basically the whole thing was nothing but hearsay that was never confirmed, plus Kaji as honest but playboy image was nothing new even back in the day before the marriage with Ayachi.

I'm not sure if any of this is true and I feel like they should just leave Kaji alone but I'd be lying if I said I didn't find all this (possible) seiyuu relationship drama fascinating....even if it's none of my business.
Though I don't think there's any public evidence that Ayacchi or Aoi Yuki have anything against Maaya (did they congratulate her on her wedding? I wonder if that fueled anything).
