Oh, that's some inspired casting.

I really like that.

Imagine if Crunchyroll gets Luffy’s 4Kids VA for this in the dub.

It's a shame that the 98 Jump Special, like the rest, has had very few leases. I don't even think they have DVD releases. Some of Akira Toriyama's one-shots got adaptations at those festivals. I would love to see a 4K scan of the Pierrot Hunter X Hunter OVA.

Funnily, here in Spanish-speaking Latin America the 4Kids dub of One Piece was dubbed into Neutral Spanish and while everyone agreed that it was not a good version considering all of the edits, the dub itself was well received and many years later, when Toei officially gave One Piece a more faithful Neutral Spanish dub in back 2020 some of the 4Kids cast reprised their roles, including the voices of Nami, Sanji, Zoro, Chopper, Robin, Shanks, among others.
Luffy, on the other hand, has had 4 voice changes in Neutral Spanish, but sadly the first actress who voiced him in Neutral Spanish in the 4Kids version, Diana Pérez, passed away some years ago. Luffy's second voice in the 4Kids version, Karina Altamirano, was going to reprise her role in OP: Gold, which was the first OP project dubbed into Neutral Spanish from the original Japanese, but she was replaced in the final product.

I hope so! I recall they did a similar thing for Dragon Ball Super.

Insanely next level casting.
Urara Takano sounds way too epic.

I did expect that Joyboy will be voice by another woman from Mayumi Tanaka's generation - had Minami Takayama in mind.

Erica Schroeder already voices Ms. Bakkin so I don't see why they can't cast her.

Also maybe Takano voices Imu as well? Kinda sounds like her.
