A bit surprising to see the PS5 and even PS4 version of Kiwami 3 selling better than Switch 2 but third parties always seem to struggle on Nintendo consoles it seems. Unless there's a problem with the Switch version of Kiwami 3 I'm unaware of. Either way, nice to see the game doing great and Yakuza still going strong.

Kiwami 3 selling less on the Switch 2 is not that surprising, while you (and even SEGA themselves) can argue that due to its content it might to fit Nintendo's more family-friendly audience, the thing is that Yakuza doesn't have a lot of story with Nintendo, the 1+2 collection bombed on the WiiU, but the Switch version of Kiwami sold fine for what it was, but still, the audience for Yakuza on Nintendo is minuscule compared to PlayStation's, it seems nowadays some third-party companies are trying to build an audience on Nintendo, but it's going to take a long time.
In regards to third-party games not selling well on Nintendo, as I said, it depends on the game, the latest numbers for Dragon Quest VIII Reimagined in Japan are 222.078 on the original Switch, 194.022 on Switch 2 and 135.613 on PS5. Keep in mind that Dragon Quest has had many more releases on Nintendo consoles.

In any case, most of Yakuza's sales success comes from overseas. These are not numbers that are going to put them back on track with the sales expectations that their international popularity should be getting them.

I'm pretty sure the devs are on record multiple times stating they don't care about appealing to overseas audiences and primarily make video games for Japanese players.
