Picked up the manga after watching the anime of Act 1. Really hope they do ebook releases of Act 2.

Is Ace of the Diamond localized in the States?

Never heard anything about the manga being available here.

It is. They are available digitally on various storefronts from Kodansha USA. They have been releasing it in English since 2017. Act 2 is only on KManga though, but it has the same team that worked on Act 1.

Oh digital, okay I was looking for physical editions. Couldn't find any, at least none in stock. Them being available for digital purchase makes more sense.

Kodansha's been quietly publishing a number of older classics in recent years, to little or no fanfare. That list I've got of tragically-unlicensed manga flittering about in the dim recesses of my skull (we've all got a list like that, I imagine) gets shorter by the day.

This is closer to Kuramochi's story (minus the "during a game" part) than Sawamura's. Sawamura didn't have any scholarship offers to lose, as academically he's an idiot, with barely passing grades. What he lost was a recommendation from his school that would've gotten him into the high school his friends were going to without testing in, which was pretty much a lost cause, because idiot. But at least this synopsis is better than the one on the manga's Encyclopedia page. Smile

Though a couple of chars in the early chapters of the manga sometimes do, it's weird seeing Miyuki referred to as Kazuya, as Mei is the only one in the anime to ever call him that.

Despite my nitpicks, I'm really happy to see this get some attention, so thanks for the review, just in time for the next round of the anime next month.
