You mean theft tool that steals the work of humans to INACCURATELY "translate" . AI literally is incapable of proper translation. At best, this is harmful because AI mathematically cannot avoid hallucinating. It's literally impossible. OpenAI admitted this: https://www.computerworld.com/article/4059383/openai-admits-ai-hallucinations-are-mathematically-inevitable-not-just-engineering-flaws.html
Incorrect translations are worse than none because they often completely change what is being said, sometimes to the exact opposite meaning intended. But with AI it's far worse because they outright make things up. For example, Grok's AI will hallucinate one seiyuu name to a completely different name: It often changes Tokui Sora to Toyosaki Aki, for one of many examples I've seen. It's vile and disgusting. AI translations should honestly just be illegal with how harmful they're prone to be. At the very least they should have a big fat disclaimer before every paragraph. Webtoon is just constantly doing the worst things possible for the industry and I really hope they just go under soon |

I hate AI tools as much as the next guy. But... if no one is willing to do the work of translating, editing, and all that other stuff for it to be read in another language... I won't complain if AI takes that roll... but just with the ones that no one wants to do.
For example: No one wants to translate The Silver Guardian (Yín Zhī Shǒu Mù Rén) to English. I mean... 337 have been translated, but it ended on 680. No one cares to translate that, so for me. It's going to remain as incomplete on my list of manga. |

Sounds nice. I'm glad they're adding more accessibility to these kinds of things with the help of AI. Easier to localize series across countries since some companies and creators don't want to or it's not financially viable to

Why I dont like AI use is not moral issue, its because I see company replacing dozen, hundreds, and thousands of people to use the arguable more efficient AI but the firing of those people is not passed on to consumers.
