This makes me nervous, considering the only US live-action series that seeemed to be actually any good was One Piece, but it also strikes me as odd? While the series seems to have been successful in Japan, I've never heard anyone talk about it, despite me being active in a lot of shojo and josei fan spaces. Maybe a live-action series will give it the chance to be printed, saving it from obscurity?

Kinda reminds me of that time a webcomic called Marry Me was adapted into a Jennifer Lopez movie. And if I recall that was, eh, pretty mid.
