Hello. Anime News Network is not involved with the production, translation or distribution of any anime at present.. Nor have we ever done such a thing.

I suggest you figure out which anime series you're talking about, and then e-mail the appropriate company instead.

PS: What were _you_ smoking when you e-mailed us?

Well I think it's safe to say Cookie wasn't smoking something when he made that response. So that's a sober Cookie.

As for the person who sent that e-mail. Yeah, that person was either smoking something, has some issues with whatever anime they're mentioning, or is some kind of evil mastermind that's trying to play dumb and trick us. Laughing

Anyone who is anyone knows that seasons 2 & 3 were the same as season 1. And season 6 should be like season 5, which should be like 5 years after seaon 1. Season 4 was mostly filler, man...what's up with that?

... dunno... but my best guess would have to be DBZ... what other giant series out there have lots of fans with... that level of intelligence? *no offense ment to DBZ fans, it's just you have a larger number of idiots into it then most other anime out due to popularity*

No I think more like a Pokemon fan on crack

There's a possibility maybe they were commenting on Pokemon or Digimon.

Wouldn't even have to be drunk...just a crazed Moonie would be enough.

Admittedly, I am a Sailor Moon fan... but maybe I'm not crazed enough?

I have to admit, this thread is the highlight of my day.

Actually... That does sound Like Digimon... Season 2 was based a couple years after season 1 while seasons 3 and 4 were totally detatched from the first two. Fans have been clamoring for a while for season 5 to be based off the first two season, but personally I think it should be based on the Digimon Chronicles manga... Ah never mind... Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

Inu-Yasha, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, & the Gundam franchise all come to mind. There's a disproportionate amount of idiots in every crowd, and it's unfair to single one specific fanbase out as being "stupider than the rest."

Pokemon and Digimon slipped my mind, and I crossed out Sailor Moon because the discription of the series didn't fit anything to do with Sailor Moon. That and, well, I get the impression a guy wrote it for some reason. That, and well outside of anime fans, Sailor Moon was never on the level of popularity that DBZ is at. Razz

whoa.

That made my day =P.

Seriously people. Don't think so hard about it. It's just a stupid humorous mail sent by either someone so extremely intelligent that he/she is able to make something so completely stupid and illegible, or some wasted person who's really drunk =P.

I've seen both types of people post/mail something like that. It never gets old. =P

I figured I had two possibilities..

One was to play nice and give the kid a break, assume that he made a simple mistake and that he just needed a bit of sense slapped into him.

The other was to apologize profusely for a paragraph or two...
... and then say, "By the way, which anime was it that I'm apologizing for?"

I took the former route, but the latter could've been funny, too.
