I checked out his Naruto record and unfortunately he directed the movies that weren't very good at all.

Bad director directing bad spin off?

Fair enough.

At the same, Murata also directed the episode where Naruto and co. try to see behind Kakashi's mask, which practically everybody liked. While I haven't seen any of the Shippuden movies he's directed yet, his episodic work on the TV series has been fairly solid. So I'm looking forward to this, presumably short given the amount of material out there, TV series. At the very least, we'll finally be getting another guy directing the annual Naruto movie.

Awesome news. Springtime of Youth is hilarious and I can't wait to see it in animated form.

(Will of Fire was a great movie, by the way, don't be hating)
