So there I am watching Life (one of the most underated shows on TV right now IMO) and lo and behold there it is. The reference to the long debated "scandal" of Kimba the White Lion and Disney's The Lion King.
I admit it. I freaked a little bit and squealed with Anime fangirlish glee. Which prompted the odd looks from my Aunt which then prompted the 2 min. 30 second explanation on why I squealed with said glee. Mad kudos and lots of props to the writers of one of my favorite shows for even knowing about this. You can see it for yourself at Hulu at the 24:36 mark. Hmm... interesting. The plot of that episode (and the earlier Simpsons story that it references) is remarkably similar to an episode of Dennō Coil, the one with the "beard-people". - abunai |
