Odd, considering they also announced this via their Facebook page back in early November. Right hand, meet left hand.
But then again, the imprint's homepage hasn't been updated in literally half a year, all their books have been late, their advertising has been nonexistent, and other retailers are offering better prices on their books than DMP's own Akadot site is. I suppose only partially licensing a series is par for the course at this point. Ah, professionalism. |

Soba Scans is no doubt going to like this. They've put lots of effort into translating this series and spreading the word about it for quite a while now. I've read the first two volumes, and the story (such as it is) is a slow burn, but the odd relationship between the protagonists is rather absorbing. Oh, and Harumi Chihiro has some relaxing art: even if the sex was scrapped wholesale, the series would have a strange sort of relaxing atmosphere to it, despite the manic life our protagonist is going through.
It's not often that a quality H-title like this is licensed in the U.S. I hope it does well enough that DMP brings over Chihiro's other works. |
