This what I can gather from using the Altavista Babel fish translator.
If anyone who can read Japanese and go to that website, make sure that I am correct in talking about this. |

i just realized how funny that translation was. hahahhaha =P all the days of the week in japanese are named after some sort of element. i forget since it's been so long... but where it says month and wood, those are actual names for days... ex- 月曜日 - Tuesday 木曜日 - Thursday but 月 can be moon, or month 木 can be wood... well, i thought it was funny =P |

The nomenclature is a combination of Nordic mythology and the five elements of Chinese alchemy. Sunday: 日曜日 (Day of the Sun). 日 = Sun. Monday: 月曜日 (Day of the Moon). 月 = Moon. Tuesday: 火曜日 (Day of Fire/Mars; Tyr's Day). 火 = Fire and 火星 = Mars. Wednesday: 水曜日 (Day of Water/Mercury; Wodan or Odin's Day). 水 = Water and 水星 = Mercury. Thursday: 木曜日 (Day of Wood/Jupiter; Thor's Day). 木 = Wood and 木星 = Jupiter. Friday: 金曜日 (Day of Gold/Venus; Freyr or Freya's Day). 金 = Gold (or broadly, any type of metal) and 金星 = Venus. Saturday: 土曜日 (Day of Earth (not planet Earth, but the soil)/Saturn; Saturn's Day). 土 = Earth/soil and 土星 = Saturn. Just my two cents. |

even funnier i suck EDIT: after talking with one of my friends, he said that the series is expected to air next year, and the showing on oct 7, oct 11, is a rerun of the episode preview shown in september... i think belldandy came out of the mirror and that was as far as they got. or something. |

Its not technically a series...
Its a 30 volume manga (192 chapters and still going) a 5 episode OVA and a movie Then the TV series will make it an official series. |

Let's not forget Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses, which aired on the Anime Complex block; that was still certainly A TV series, albeit only a half-length series. :) |
