I'm PRETTY sure this means both the North American and European versions of the game. Otherwise I'm sure the official Tales of Facebook page would've specified that the European version only has it.

I'm so happy I can't breathe properly because of this news.
I finally get to play a Tales of game for the first time and it's gonna have the original voices. And a European release. (It would be a shame if NA doesn't get that too, maybe there's a mistake?)
Besides, I've watched the CM of this game for Gamecube like...over 5 years ago? So the Starry Sky song is very nostalgic sound to me... I liked it so much I went and looked for the song. But I couldn't play the game since I didn't have a Gamecube ; n;
So I'm so happy they're Remastering it, and with the original voices too. It's nice that it's dual because not EVERYONE likes dub (whether that's good or not) because some people just want things with how they're originally portrayed (or some just don't like dubs. AT ALL.) I'm fine with dubs but if they're bad though it's hard to play through...

I'm sure hate-mongering subbies are having a good flog over this. Still, will the translation be accurate subs or dubtitles?

Thank God. If I had to hear Scott Menville's voice one more time I was going to be upset.

Speaking of which, any word on if they're going to redub it with the Non union cast (Brian Beacock et all) or just leave the skits and PS2 stuff silent.

Do they even have that option? I'm sure Nintendo footed a lot the bill to translate ToS (which maybe why they could afford union actors in the first instance)

It about damm time they put dual audio in tales games. I hope this mean they finally listen to us. Make sense since lot of us like watching anime in sub so we should have the same for tales games.

Why would you even want to play Tales of Symphonia (or any Tales game for that matter) in Japanese, anyway?
English Kratos is ONLY Kratos. Cool

This is what I was wondering about as well. I'm hoping so! I really liked the dub and was planning on buying this anyway, but I like the original Japanese VAs as well (Konishi and Onosaka really made Lloyd and Zelos their own IMO) so this is icing on the cake! Very Happy

So, is this the "big announcement" Mr. Baba was talking about? I wasn't really expecting a Vesperia or Xillia 2 announcement, but I hadn't expected something as small as this.
Of course, it's still a big step for Namco Bandai, since it's their first Tales game with dual audio. Anyone know if other non-Tales titles from Namdai have gotten this treatment, or is this the first?

I am so happy right now. Ever since I heard Rie Kugimiya played the main girl in Symphonia 2, I wanted to play the dual audio version so badly (even skipped the Wii version out of spite for it not having dual audio). Thank you Namco for listening to your fans.

Good to know some people will ONLY buy it because of this. /sarcasm

Its a quality issue. Only giving a subpar dub makes the game of lower quality than if you had the original and high quality voices.

Kugimiya is overrated and pigeonholed in the tsuntsun role way too often. Yukari Tamura and Sayaka Ohara are where it's at.
Besides, Laura Bailey is the only version of Marta worth listening to. It helps that she has one of the sexiest voices ever.
HNNNNNNNNNGGGGGHHHHH

And I do know that HNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGHHHH is usually reserved for kawaii, and not sexiness. Just roll with it.

Look I favor subs any day of the week, I won't buy any anime that is english dub only. That being said, having played many of the tales titles, including Symphonia, the English dub is not bad, so you have no grounds for your sub par claims.

This is why subbers get a bad rap. Yes a lot of dub is poorly done, I mean each studio uses it own group of 2-3 voice actors to do every role. But when I hear people complain about things like Symphonia and my favorite Studio Ghibli I just have to laugh.

On principle I do want the Japanese track on this set, but not because I think the English dub is bad.
