Imagine tuning it for that Ping Pong show and then this comes on after it during the Noitamina block. They are really going for clashing shows this season

Picked the hell up. Stellar cast, and I love the designs. This might be the next Anohana in terms of sales. Noitamina could use the money, God know the other one's not gonna make any.

And yeah, this is looking to me to be one of the best Noitamina shows in a while. I love the character designs from that SAO/Working/Galilei Donna guy, plus the LN is incredibly well regarded and the whole premise seems great.

anime#15759

According to this, Fuji TV is on the Production Committee so you'd assume they'd rather it sell then not sell.

Always looking forward what Noitamina has to offer~
I'm somewhat neutral on the character designs though.

The novel won the top prize in the 13th Enterbrain Entertainment Awards in September 2011.

Though given your past posts, anything with cute girls looks like "horseshit" to you, so that doesn't really matter.

@RyanSaotome Ah yes,the amazing Enterbrain Entertainment Awards, only truly excellent LNs can get this prestigious award.Amazing modern classics like Dog & Scissors and Gakkō no Kaidan.
And no actually I do like a lot of shows with cute girls,Nichijou for example.

One of the biggest money holes in recent anime history. The defense rests. If you were deciding what shows to make, the companies would be bankrupt in a year, tops.

Yes. Basically Ping Pong will be the good show just a handful will buy, whereas Nanana will be the generic fluff that sells like hotcakes. In AnoHana's case I loved it to bits, so there the sales were well deserved.

Honestly, I'm just starting the latter because I made it a point to watch everything aired in noitaminA (a decision that shows like Samumenco or Galilei Donna make me promptly regret) - normally I wouldn't give this a second look. The second PV just lowered my abysmal expectations further.

But, I'm not one to judge a book by its cover either. I'm speculating here based on what I'm expecting, but I'll give the show a fair chance.

This is also really sad, because Nichijou is the best comedy KyoAni has made in, uh... forever?

it was completely hit-or-miss. There was no in-between with Nichijou. I did not find it funny at all.
