I am actually surprised that something like this hasn't been done before. (Or has it?) Shinkai's writing style has always felt like it would be conducive to stage adaptation.
Definitely looking forward to what Shinkai comes up next, though I won't hold my breath on it being stylistically different from his previous works. |

Not yet they haven't, unfortunately. It keeps getting pushed back because they're trying to get the rights for the English audio. As of now, along with Place Promised in Our Early Days as a 2-movie pack, it's been pushed to November of this year. I can only hope they'll be able to release it sooner or at least no later. |
