FunimationNow App's Update Launches With Improved Video, Audio

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Funimation announced on Monday that a redesigned version of its FunimationNow streaming app launched earlier this year. The Funimation Development Team said the redesign was a "complete overhaul of our entire platform." The staff improved the app's video and audio quality, and the announcement features charts with detailed information about the updated bit rates and codecs.

The company launched the app in Australia and New Zealand in March. Funimation launched the app for iOS, Android, Kindle, and Windows 10 devices in the United States in March 2016, replacing its old streaming apps on various devices. The app also launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland in the same month. The app launched for Amazon Fire TV, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Roku last July, and on PlayStation Vita last September.
