Pokémon Gets New 'Core Series' RPG on Switch in 2nd Half of 2019 (Updated)

The Pokémon Company announced during the Pokémon 2018 Video Game Press Conference on Wednesday that a new "core series" Pokémon role-playing game is in development for the second half of 2019. In addition, Niantic has added Alolan Exeggutor to its Pokémon GO smartphone game.
The Pokémon Company also announced the Pokémon Quest, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! games during the press conference. The company confirmed that the Pokémon referenced at the end of the trailer for the Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! games is a new, never-before-seen Pokémon.
The Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games launched on November 18, 2016. The games were Nintendo's best pre-selling games in history. Nintendo shipped 10 million copies worldwide in its initial shipment, a new record for the company. As of January 2017, Nintendo had sold 14.69 million units worldwide. The Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon Nintendo 3DS games launched on November 17, 2017. The games sold an estimated 1,199,814 copies in Japan in their first three days.
