The drug Dr. Theo describes as the TB Pill is Iproniazid or Isoniazid. Though originally synthesized for tuberculosis, it was discovered in 1952 to have powerful antidepressant effects. After the medicine was linked in liver damage, it was discontinued in most of the world, with one noted exception being France.

Galahad's brass knuckles are inscribed with a Latin phrase. It reads, in English, "Let there be justice, though the world perish."
