AD Police Rookie Leon McNichol gets a rough introduction to the job when he has to prove that another cop's death was in the line of duty, and not a suicide. Meanwhile, illegally refurbished boomers are going berserk -- and one of them is stalking him!

Detective Ailis Kara is investigating a series of gruesome prostitute murders, while at the same time she is considering getting one of the new artificial organs (an eye) to improve herself. But at what point does one stop being human, and start becoming a machine?

Critically wounded, AD Police officer Billy Fanword is rebuilt as a heavily armed cyborg cop. But Billy, who can now confirm his humanity only by biting his tongue, soon learns that invincibility isn't all it's cracked up to be!
