Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable PSP Game Updated Teaser Posted

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Regular and limited edition game versions ship on January 26

The Japanese publisher Bandai Namco Games began streaming a new promotional video for Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable on its official site last Wednesday. Bandai Namco Games also released a 51-second teaser in August, but the video has since been removed from the game's site and YouTube. The updated promotional video contains about 30 seconds of new material and details the PSP game's features.

The game adapts Yomi Hirasaka's Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai romantic comedy light novels, and a television anime adaptation of the story is also in production. In the story, Kodaka Hasegawa is a half-Japanese/half-British transfer student whose delinquent-like blonde hair scares people, while Yozora Mikazuki is a seemingly perpetually sullen girl. The two decide to form Rinjinbu, a club for people with hardly any friends.

The game follows an original scenario and uses a "Live 2D" animation feature for the onscreen characters. The limited edition version of the game, which includes additional game software, a DVD, a special art box, and other bonuses, will be available for the retail price of 10,980 yen (about US$140). The retail price of the regular version is 6,800 yen (about US$90).

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Portable will ship for Sony's portable PSP platform on January 26.
