Pixel-Art Mario Cushion Offered by Japan's Club Nintendo

posted on by Egan Loo
Platinum Members can choose "Dot Mario Cushion," calendars, or CDs as bonus gift

Japan's Club Nintendo program revealed that it will offer its Platinum Members a "Dot Mario Cushion" as one of three bonus thank-you gifts for signing up this year. Each Platinum Member can choose to get the cushion, two Club Nintendo Calenders for 2012, or two Platinum Soundtracks. (Members can also get a second gift or more for 400 club points each.)

The Dot Mario Cushion features a pixel art version of Mario from his Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System days in Super Mario Bros., and it measures about 33 x 25 x 6 centimeters (about 13 x 10 x 2.4 inches). Nintendo suggests the cushion for napping or putting on your sofa to prop your back. The cushions will ship out this March.

Instead of the cushion, Platinum Members can choose to receive two of the following soundtracks: Tomodachi Collection (62 tracks), Pilotwings Resort (24 tracks), Starfox 64 3D (42 tracks), Wii Fit Plus (40 tracks), or Mario Kart Wii (43 tracks). The other choice of thank-you gift is a set of two desktop monthly calendars with Mario, Link, Kirby, and other characters on cards. Both of these gifts will ship in December.
