Baby, Please Kill Me! Anime's Cast, Premiere Month Revealed

The cast for the anime adaptation of Kaduho's Baby, Please Kill Me! (Kill Me Baby) manga was announced on Thursday. Mutsumi Tamura will play Sonya, the assassin girl who happens to attend an ordinary school. Ai Takabe will play Agiri Goshiki, a ninja in Sonya's organization. Chinatsu Akasaki will play Yasuna Oribe, a fearless yet not-so-smart girl and a self-described "friend" of Sonya.
The four-panel slice-of-life comedy manga series launched in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in 2008, after the magazine ran a one-shot early version of the story. Yoshiki Yamakawa (Hatsukoi Limited) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff (A Certain Magical Index, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Nodame Cantabile), and Hideki Shirane of Dream Eater Merry and Aria the Scarlet Ammo are in charge of the scripts. Character designs are being handled by Shinya Hasegawa (Sailor Moon, Ikki Tousen, Otome Yōkai Zakuro).
The anime will premiere in Japan this January.
