Iori Nomizu, Misuzu Togashi Lead Upotte!! Anime Cast

Iori Nomizu and Misuzu Togashi will star in the anime adaptation of Kitsune Tennouji's Upotte!! manga. In the story, a newly hired teacher discovers that the female students at his school all have excellent marksmanship skills — and happen to be anthropomorphized assault rifles. The students' names reference the Japanese pronunciations for various guns:

Saeko Zōgō as Ichiyon (M14)

Takao Kato is directing the anime at the studio Xebec, and Naruhisa Arakawa is in charge of the scripts. Akio Takami redesigned the characters for the anime, which Nico Nico Douga's live service will stream in Japan in April.
