Tokitowa RPG's Toki Battle Video Shows Hand-Drawn Characters

On Thursday, Namco Bandai Games and Imageepoch began streaming a video showing the main character Toki from its Tokitowa role-playing game in battle. The video highlights the game's characters, hand-drawn by the anime studio Satelight, as they interact in a 3D world.
Imageepoch (Fate/Extra, Luminous Arc, 7th Dragon) is developing Tokitowa as the "first HD animation RPG." Satelight worked on Macross Frontier, Aquarion Evol, Mōretsu Pirates, and AKB0048 before taking on the character animation seen throughout the entire game.
The single-player fantasy game will ship in Japan for the PlayStation 3 console on October 11. Imageepoch CEO Ryōei Mikage and Namco Bandai Games producer Kay Hirono (Macross Frontier: Sayonara no Tsubasa Hybrid Pack, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny) have both discussed plans to release the game overseas.
