Fighting game inspired by sequel anime slated for November 29

Namco Bandai Games previewed its Saint Seiya Omega: Ultimate Cosmo game with its first promotional video and commercial this week.

The videos highlight the game's all-new story, set on Thalassa Island, that is fully acted out by the voice cast. The game will have a "Cosmo gauge" for each player on the bottom of the screen; charging up the gauge will enable special moves like "Big Bang Attacks" and power-up effects unique to each character.

This fighting game adaptation of the Saint Seiya Omega television anime series will ship for the PSP on November 29. The first pressing will include a booklet of production designs.

The television series and the game feature a new generation of Saints in the storyline launched by Masami Kurumada's 1986-1990 mythological fantasy manga and Toei's subsequent 1986-1989 television anime. This is the first Saint Seiya television anime in 23 years. The new anime premiered in April, and Crunchyroll has been streaming the series into several countries as it airs in Japan.
