posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Gym, rabbit, swimming outfits shown; nonplayable character promo also streamed

Bandai Namco Games began streaming a video previewing a few of Tales of Hearts R's bonus costumes on Wednesday. The video features Hisui Hearts (Masaya Matsukaze) in swimming trunks with cat ears, Galando Grinus (Hideo Ishikawa) in a pink suit and rabbit ears, and Beryl Benito (Saeko Chiba) in a gym uniform. An additional costume on the game's official site shows Shing Meteoryte (Tetsuya Kakihara) and Beryl in swimsuits.

The company is also streaming a third non-playable character promotional video.

The video stars Takashi Matsuyama as Labrado Arcome (Calcedny's father), Kiyoyuki Yanada as Grossular, Kôzô Shioya as Kornerupine, Kōji Yusa as Chlorseraph, Kenjiro Tsuda as Clinoseraph, and Tomoko Kaneda as Corundum.

Production I.G is producing the anime cutscenes for this PS Vita port of the Nintendo DS role-playing game Tales of Hearts. The main scenario with protagonist Shing Meteoryte is fully voiced with 10 new animated story events. Additional cast members include Hiroshi Kamiya as Calcedny Arcome, Marina Inoue as Kohak Hearts, Shizuka Itou as Innes Lorenz, and Hozumi Gôda as Kunzite.

The graphics, backgrounds, character models, and battle system are also being upgraded. The battle system also features 3D graphics and a "chase link" mode that allows players to make aerial attacks if certain conditions are met. The new game also includes a field map.

Namco Bandai Games will ship Tales of Hearts R on March 7 in a standard edition for 6,480 yen (about US$77) and a "Link" Edition for 9,980 yen (US$119). A download-only edition will also be available for 5,830 yen (US$69).
