A Certain Scientific Railgun Teaches Jr. High Math

Mikoto, Kuroko, Uiharu, Saten to drill concepts in latest anime study guide

Chukei, a Kadokawa Group Publishing company, will release its new book that teaches junior high level mathematics with characters from A Certain Scientific Railgun manga and anime on June 11. In Toaru Kagaku no Railgun to Yarinaosu Chūgaku Sūgaku, Kawai Juku cram school instructor Yasuyo Seko uses the characters Mikoto, Kuroko, Uiharu, and Saten to drill mathematical concepts that readers may have forgotten after middle school.

The J.C. Staff animation studio drew the book's illustrations, and the book also includes screenshots from the anime. The book bundles a poster with the same art that appears on the cover.

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun to Yarinaosu Chūgaku Sūgaku will retail for 1,785 yen (about US$18).

Chukei previously published a English vocabulary guides featuring characters from the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels to teach English.

Chukei also published books that teach chemistry with Lucky Star characters, a Physics guide featuring the My Ordinary Life anime cast, a world history book that teaches with the help of Puella Magi Madoka Magica's lead voice actress Aoi Yūki, and a text on ancient writings featuring the characters from Mitsuru Yūki's Shonen Onmyouji light novels.

A Certain Scientific Railgun S series premiered this month, and Funimation is streaming the series in North America as it airs in Japan.
