Upcoming cycling convention to feature Yowamushi Pedal and manga artist Wataru Watanabe.

Bicycle expo Cycle Mode International 2013 will be hosting a special "guest" this year—cycling manga and anime Yowamushi Pedal. The series will be advertising itself throughout the entirety of the event, as well as plugging the sport of competitive cycling.

The two-city event will also feature an appearance by Yowamushi Pedal manga creator Wataru Watanabe. He will be delivering a presentation on the main stage on Sunday, November 3 at Makuhari Messe, and Sunday, November 10 at Intex Osaka, where he will be discussing the manga, his personal love for bicycles, and sharing insider stories about the creation of the anime.

Attendees will be able to purchase limited edition Yowamushi Pedal t-shirts and totes, featuring exclusive artwork by Watanabe. Proceeds from merchandise sales will be donated to the Great East Japan Earthquate Restoration Fund. Watanabe will also be on hand for an autograph session.

Cycle Mode International 2013 will be head in two cities; from November 2-4, it will be at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, and from November 9-10, it will be at Intex Osaka. The event draws plenty of passionate cyclists every year, but also reaches out to children and those unfamiliar with bicycles and cycling.
