Gargantia's Ledo Goes Back in Time in Tōken Ranbu Crossover

DMM and Nitroplus' Tōken Ranbu -ONLINE- game is rapidly growing in popularity among history buffs. The game's aesthetic is firmly in the past while the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet television series and recent OAV are in the future. The game is about traditional Japanese weaponry reimagined as handsome men, while the anime follows a salvage crew aboard a moving community of ships. The two don't appear to have much in common but that didn't stop artist Naruko Hanaharu from redrawing Gargantia's Ledo in Tōken Ranbu's Kanesada Kasen's clothes and vice versa.
The two characters do share one common thread despite the differences in their respective source material. Both Ledo and Kasen are voiced by Kaito Ishikawa.
The whole collaboration appears to be part of the PR for Suisei no Gargantia: Meguru Kōro, Haruka's theatrical run. The OAV's second half is currently running in Japanese theaters and will go on sale on May 27.
