Viz's English language edition of Weekly Shonen Jump included the same poll results as well as the results from its own readers. How do the results compare and are North American fans as head over heels for the manga's protagonist?

- Noelle
- Yuno
- Finral
- Zora
- Julius Novachrono
- Luck Voltia

Asta may have dropped to #2 in Viz's poll but the largest difference might be for the lead female protagonist Noelle who takes third place for English readers while barely climbing into the top 10 for Japanese readers.
The Black Clover anime premiered in Japan last October. Crunchyroll is streaming the series in Japanese with English subtitles, and Funimation is streaming the show's English dub. The anime's website lists the anime for a full year with 51 episodes.
Crunchyroll describes the story:
In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder's magic. Asta's is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent's spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!
The show debuted on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block on December 2.
