Neptunia Standees Net US$1,300 at AX Silent Auction

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Twitter user @RemiDaPyon is now the proud owner of two new Hyperdimension Neptunia series character standees. While he may be reveling in his luck, this otaku's wallet may not be so happy with him. @RemiDaPyon had to shell out US$1,300 for the standees after winning Idea Factory's silent auction at Anime Expo. That didn't seem to phase him, however, as he happily posed for photos with his winnings.

Before he became the proud owner of the Neptune and Noire standees, @RemiDaPyon apparently also won Idea Factory's auction last year. The official Idea Factory International Twitter account celebrated @RemiDaPyon's success this year by retweeting his post about the auction. The company's Twitter account also shared its own picture of the standees.

Before heading home, the Neptune standee paid a visit to the USS Iowa (BB-61) battleship, which sits decommissioned at the Pacific Battleship Center at the Port of Los Angeles.

@RemiDaPyon noted on Twitter that he is having a friend ship the standees to him. Compared to the cost of the standees, that expense will be a bargain. The deep-pocketed Twitter user estimated that the shipping costs will only run "about a couple hundred bucks."

Thanks to Charles Wang for the tip.
