Daft Punk at Cannes

But not at the Cannes Film Festival
Konstantin from Anime Domain Project (german) has written in with some interesting details about the Leiji Matsumoto / Daft Punk colaboration at Cannes. First off, it seems that the movie's official name is "INTERSTELLA 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem."
Oficially, INTERSTELLA 5555 will not be shown at the 56th Cannes Film Festival, but rather at another film festival also taking place in Cannes, France. The festival, called the Quinzaine des Realisateurs (Directors' Fortnight), will have it's 35th running from the 15th to the 25th of this month.
INTERSTELLA 5555 will be shown this Sunday, May 18th at 11:15pm.
The Director's Fortnight is considered an independant part of the Cannes Film Festival, it operates during, and is spawned from the Cannes Film Festival, but is not a part of the Cannes competition and is independantly organized.
