Oshii's Female Tachigui Sequel's Trailer Posted Online

Six live-action shorts from Ghost in the Shell directors, others

The sponsor DEIZ and the promotion company Orca Vision have posted the trailer for Mamoru Oshii's latest live-action film collaboration, Shin-Onna Tachiguishi Retsuden (True Female Tachigui: The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters), in small and large resolutions online. The film anthology about seven women from different walks of life opens in Japan from November 10 to November 30, with a September 3 preview showing and a screening at October's 20th Tokyo International Film Festival.

Oshii and four of his directing colleagues (live-action Cutie Honey and The End of Evangelion special effects' Makoto Kamiya, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex's Kenji Kamiyama, Killers' Takanori Tsujimoto, and Mabataki's Hiroaki Yuasa) took his DVD short from the first Tachigui hybrid live-action/animation film and created six more live-action shorts. Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell movies, Death Note movies) provided the soundtrack as he has often done for Oshii's works.
