Frogman's Eagle Talon Film to Screen in New York (Updated)

posted on by Egan Loo
One-man studio created Japan's first theatrically released Flash anime

The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival will screen Frogman's Himitsu Kessha Taka no Tsume THE MOVIE ~Soutou wa Nido Shinu~ (Eagle Talon The Movie - The Chancellor Only Lives Twice) film on February 29 at 8:00 p.m. This 2007 film collects 11 quirky non-sequitur shorts from The Frogman Show, which Frogman directed, wrote, designed, animated, dubbed, and edited in his DLE/Kaeruotoko Shokai studio for Japanese late-night television the year before. The promoters bill the film as the first theatrically-released Flash anime in the world. Frogman plans to appear at the festival's opening ceremony before his film's premiere showing and court overseas distributors during the event. Kaeruotoko Shokai's next project, Sguy and The Family Stone the Movie, will open in Japan on February 16.
