Shōjo manga about girl who loses parents, and distant relative who watches over her

CMX Manga has announced at its Anime Expo panel on Saturday that it licensed Ken Saito's The Name of the Flower shōjo manga. The story centers on Chōko Mizushima, a girl who lost both her parents to an accident two years ago. Due to the shock of the loss, she had shut herself off from the rest of the world. Kei, a distant relative and an award-winning novelist who has his own private demons to deal with, agrees to let her move in and to watch over her until she finishes high school. Now, both face big decisions as Chōko is about to graduate, and Kei has finished writing his newest and most intimate novel.

The manga ran in Hakusensha's LaLa DX magazine from 2004 to 2007, and four volumes were compiled and published.
