Gegege no Kitarō Anime to Reportedly End This Spring

Current TV incarnation of Shigeru Mizuki's manga has been running since 2007

The website reports that Toei Animation's current television version of Shigeru Mizuki's Gegege no Kitarō manga series will end and make way for the April 5 premiere of the remastered Dragon Ball Z broadcast. The current Gegege no Kitarō supernatural horror anime is the fifth television series by the same name, and it has been running since April 1, 2007.

Toei's anime programs have been running at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday timeslot on the Fuji TV network of affiliates since 1981. Among that timeslot's titles were Konjiki no Gash Bell!!/Zatch Bell! and several versions of the Digimon franchise.
