Shin Koihime Musō Game Anime Green-Lit

A television commercial from Marvelous Entertainment has announced that an anime has been green-lit for BaseSon's Shin Koihime†Musō: Otome Ryōran Sangokushi Engi adult adventure game for personal computers. The game is spinoff from the Koihime†Musō: Doki—Otome Darake no Sangokushi ENGI game, which has already been adapted into a television anime series and a video anime. The franchise re-imagines the classic Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi) as a "moe (fiery), moe (preciously cute) action love comedy" with an almost all-female cast. The Shin Koihime Musō game was just released in Japan on December 26.
The same Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel also inspired KOEI's game franchise of the same name, KOEI's Dynasty Warriors (Shin Sangoku Musō) spinoffs, and dozens of anime and manga of varying historical accuracy.
