Miracle Train Moe Boy Characters Get Anime Green-Lit

posted on by Egan Loo
5 personifications of Tokyo train stations already star in online manga, novel

The May issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine will announce on Friday that an anime adaptation of Miracle Train, the anthropomorphization of Tokyo's Chuo Line train stations, has been green-lit. Tomohisa Kai (Sentimental Graffiti, Marginal Prince) designed the moe boy characters based on the the heavily travelled Japan Railways train line that runs east to west through the heart of Tokyo. Yumeta Company is producing the animation. A web manga already started last month, while a novel version began on March 16.

Five of the Chūō train stations have been turned into the proud leader Zero Tōkyō (Hiroyuki Yoshino, center of image), the girl-wooing Shintarō Shinjuku (Ryōtarō Okiayu, far left), the ramen-loving otaku Riku Nakano (Hiroshi Kamiya, center right), the charming yet acerbic Takuto Kichijōji (Miyu Irino, center left), and the gentle yet risk-taking Lune Tachikawa (Kōki Miyata, far right). The anime version will be the first anime based on a title from Yomban, Bandai Visual's original content website.
