Actual tallies of box office receipts are in for April 10-12 weekend

Dragonball: Evolution, James Wong and 20th Century Fox's live-action film adaptation of Akira Toriyama's fighting manga, opened in the United States this weekend with an estimated US$4,650,000 on 2,181 screens. The April 10-12 box office estimate from the studio places Dragonball: Evolution at #8 below two other new films: #1's Hannah Montana The Movie with US$34,000,000 and #4's Observe and Report with US$11,140,000. As of this weekend, Dragonball: Evolution has earned an estimated US$25,315,346 worldwide after opening in eight Asian markets last month.

The Wachowski Brothers and Warner Brothers' live-action film remake of the Speed Racer car-racing anime opened last May at #3 with US$18,561,337.
