Amanatsu's Two-Minute Music Video Anime Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Anime about girl & her robot with "River's Edge" song by Genius Party's Nichika

The Gigazine website has posted a new two-minute promotional video for Amanatsu, the science-fiction music video from the Kamikaze Douga anime studio. The project title comes from the name of a robot that a scientist creates in this near-future science-fiction story. The scientist, Sōichi Makimura, also designed the Amon perpetual motion machine that sustains the energy dome under which humans live their daily lives, two decades after the last of the energy wars and environmental disasters had devastated the land. Makimura's lonely 14-year-old daughter, Amane, has lived with the robot Amanatsu since she was little. The story begins when Amanatsu grabs the key to the perpetual motion machine and runs away to the "end of the world."

Unlike the previous online promo for the project, the new video is set to the "River's Edge" song by the Japanese musical duo Nichika ("Genius Party" theme song for Studio 4°C's film anthology of the same name). Kamikaze Douga co-animated earlier music videos for Japanese pop stars Namie Amuro and Ayumi Hamasaki. The studio also worked on the animation footage in the Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions game.
