Avarus Mag Picks Up Moyamu Fujino, Mari-Neko's Titles

Johji Manabe deletes blog report of closure of Kodansha's MiChao! website

Moyamu Fujino's Bōkyaku no Cradle manga and Mari-Neko's Rosetta kara no Shōtaijō manga are migrating to Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade Avarus magazine on June 15 after their previous magazine's next issue was delayed until further notice. The two titles debuted in the inaugural issue of Mag Garden's quarterly Comic Blade Brownie magazine on December 10, but Mag Garden announced that the second issue has been pushed back. Both manga will launch in the July issue of Avarus. Tokyopop began shipping Fujino's Animal Academy: Hakobune Hakusho in North America last week, while ADV Manga released the first two volumes of Fujino's The First King Adventure.

Manga creator Johji Manabe (Outlanders, Capricorn) reported in a Friday blog entry that an editor called him about Kodansha's decision to shut down its MiChao! ebook website. Manabe was planning to release a manga on the site next month, and he had already finished the draft of the first installment. While the manga is on indefinite hold for now, he thinks he will still be paid for the draft. However, Manabe has since deleted the section of the blog entry about MiChao's shutdown "upon request."
