Monkey Majik Makes Music Video with Lupin III Anime

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: The Japanese-Canadian rock group Monkey Majik has created an animated music video in which the band members meet the Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko characters from Monkey Punch's Lupin III manga and anime franchise. The Oricon website is already streaming the full 187-second video on Wednesday.
The music video promotes the August 26 release of the Lupin the Third Dance & Drive official covers & remixes CD release. In particular, the video features a remix of the Lupin the Third theme song. Fantastic Plastic Machine, Double, and Coldfeet are among the 14 musical acts contributing to the CD release. Yasuo Ōtsuka — the character designer and animation director of the first Lupin III television series, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, and other movies — personally drew the cover for the limited first edition of the CD release (pictured at right).
