Japan's Animation TV Ranking, August 3-9

Kochikame drama, 4 Naruto films, Kamen Rider Hibiki & Magiranger films air

The live-action television drama adaptation of Osamu Akimoto's Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo police comedy manga aired on Saturday, August 8 at 7:56 p.m. Despite the SMAP band member Shingo Katori playing the lead, it continue to have a relatively low rating of 11.3.

No less than four Naruto films aired on four consecutive nights between August 3-6 at 1:30 p.m. Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, Naruto the Movie: Legend of the Stone of Gelel, Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, and Naruto Shippūden earned 2.9, 3.3, 2.1, and 2.8 ratings, respectively. The double billing of Kamen Rider Hibiki & The Seven War Oni The Movie and Mahou Sentai Magiranger: The Bride of Infershia aired on August 7 at 2:45 a.m. and garnered a 2.2 rating.
