Perth's premiere anime convention, Wai-Con, is on this weekend. It promises to hold a massive collection of traders, panels, screenings, events and more. Additionally Wai-Con has flown over an ensemble of Eminence Symphony Orchestra and special guest Yasunori Mitsuda for a special concert!

Wai-Con is held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Center from the 23rd to the 24th of January 2010, doors open at 9:30am. Tickets are available online and start from $25 for general public. A full schedule is available here and further information can be seen on the wai-con website.

The main feature this year is a separate concert being held in the Riverside Theater at the PCEC on the evening of the 23rd of Jan. Destiny : Promised Legacy is a ensemble of Eminence Symphony Orchestra performing a selection of songs from Anime and Video Games. Yasunori Mitsuda is the special guest and will be in attendance at the concert and during the convention. Further details on Destiny: Promised Legacy can be found here and tickets are avaliable online at Ticketek or at the door.

ANN|AU will be in attendance running two panels, 2pm on Saturday with "How to con your way around Australia" and 4pm on Sunday with "Japanese 101" where we will be chairing a discussion on how and where to learn Japanese and where it can take you.

We hope to see you there!
