Yatterman's Yoshinori Chiba also joins Sushi Typhoon for Alien vs Ninja film

HijiiFunimation confirmed that its new Sushi Typhoon genre fillm label will show Alien Vs. Ninja at San Diego's Comic-Con International and host the film's director Yoshihiro Nishimura, actor Masanori Mimoto, and actress Mika Hijii. Alien Vs. Ninja will be shown on Friday night, followed by a screening of Mutant Girls Squad. From July 22 to July 24, the cast of Alien Vs. Ninja will wear their ninja and rubber alien costumes during their photo and autograph sessions. The film's producer Yoshinori Chiba will also appear.

Nishimura's many genre film credits include Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl, Tokyo Gore Police, and Helldriver. (Helldriver's trailer will be screened at Sushi Typhoon's panel on Friday.) Hijii previously voiced the character Argata on an anime titled G-9 and appeared in the live-action Kamen Rider Blade television series. Before Alien Vs. Ninja, Chiba produced the live-action film versions of Yatterman, The Neighbor No. Thirteen, and Zeiram, as well as the Shootfighter Tekken and Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer anime.

Funimation and Nikkatsu Corporation announced their partnership in late June. From this partnership, FUNimation has the exclusive first-look option on films from Nikkatsu's Sushi Typhoon label. Alien Vs. Ninja and Mutant Girls Squad resulted from this deal.

Funimation will also have signings with Vic Mignogna — thw voice of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Broly in Dragon Ball Z, and Greece in Hetalia. Also signing are Dragon Ball Kai voice actors Sean Schemmel (Goku, King Kai), Chris Sabat (Piccolo, Vegeta), and Justin Cook (Raditz).
