Funimation Adds Manga-Based Big Tits Zombie Film in 3D

The North American video and film distributor Funimation announced at the Texas Frightmare Weekend event on Friday that it acquired the rights to Big Tits Zombie, a live-action film adaptation of Rei Mikamoto's manga Kyonyū Dragon (The Big Tits Dragon). Funimation will release the film in both 2D and 3D later this year.
The film, known as Kyonyū Dragon: Onsen Zombies vs. Strippers 5 in Japan, features several actresses famed in Japan's adult video industry, including star Sora Aoi. Aoi portrays protagonist Rena, a stripper who has returned to Japan from Mexico. The story follows a battle between a team of strippers and a zombie army at a countryside strip club.
Takao Nakano wrote and directed the Kyonyū Dragon film. The original manga ran in Kodansha's defunct Young Magazine Uppers magazine in 2004, and both Kodansha and Bunkasha have published a one-volume book compilation in various formats.
Mikamoto is best known for creating the Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw and Zombie-ya Reiko (Reiko the Zombie Shop) manga; Dark Horse Comics published the first six volumes of the latter title in North America. The Zombie-ya Reiko manga was adapted into a three-part live-action video series in 2004.
