Bleach/Gundam 00/Darker than Black/Letter Bee performers plan April 9-12 tour; tickets for sale on March 3

On Friday, the all-female Japanese rock band Stereopony announced additional U.S. tour dates that will take place after the band's participation at the Seattle-based anime convention Sakura-Con.

The 4-day mini tour is scheduled for April 9-12 and includes dates in San Francisco, Hollywood, and Santa Ana along with an in-store performance at Amoeba San Francisco. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 3.

Stereopony previously made its American performance debut at SXSW 2009. The band's second single "Chisana Mahō" was released as the opening theme to the Letter Bee Reverse anime. The band was also put into anime themselves to promote "Sumairaifu," the theme song to the 2009 anime film Yatterman: Shin Yatter Mecha Daishūgō! Omocha no Kuni de Daikessen da Koron! The band also performed theme songs for the Bleach, Gundam 00, and Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor television anime series.

Besides SXSW 2009, Stereopony also performed at Anime Next 2010 and last year's Anime Boston.

Sakura-Con will take place April 6-8 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle, Washington. Steropony joins previously announced guests Todd Haberkorn, Steve Blum, Jamie Marchi, Clarine Harp, and Christopher R. Sabat.
