Bandai Visual's Lantis label began streaming the second promotional video for the Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere II television anime series on Monday. The 79-second video features Minori Chihara's opening theme song "ZONE//ALONE."
Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere's second season will premiere in Japan on July 7. North American anime distributor Sentai Filmworks announced on Friday that it licensed the series, and Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs in Japan. Sentai Filmworks also licensed the anime's first season, and Anime Network and Crunchyroll are streaming that series in North America.
Lantis posted the sequel anime's first promotional video in March, and Bandai announced the series' England voice cast in May. In addition to her role as William Cecil, Natsuko Kuwatani is replacing Yuko Goto as F. Walsingham due to the latter voice actress' illness. Aira Yūki and Masami Okui will perform the new "Side Sunset" and "Side Sunrise" ending theme songs "Kanashimi wa Dare no Negai Demonai" and "Sora no Uta," respectively.
Based on the eight-book series by Minoru Kawakami, the science-fiction anime's second season story continues in a distant future when people follow the Testament to recreate historical events. A young man named Tori Aoi retrieves his friend Horizon from the Testament Union after the Mikawa Uprising. Tori and his group seek out the Armor of Deadly Sins and travel to the floating isle England on their city-warship Musashi. Meanwhile, Tres España is also beginning to sail for the Battle of the Armada.
