1st Tamako Market BD/DVD to Include Bonus Anime

1st volume from K-ON team also has 2 TV episodes, insert song CD, commentaries

The official website for Kyoto Animation's Tamako Market television anime revealed on Thursday that the first Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume will contain a bonus pettanko anime, "Dera's Bar." Each volume will contain two television episodes, and the first volume will ship on March 20 with these extras:

Aya Suzaki (Bakuman., Manyū Hiken-chō, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness) plays the title heroine Tamako Kitashirakawa, a high-school freshman who is cheerful, spirited, and kind to others. She is the mochi-loving daughter of a mochi (rice cake) shopkeeper in a shopping district and a baton club member.

Naoko Yamada (K-ON!) is directing, and Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Bakuman.) is in charge of the series scripts. Horiguchi (Lucky Star) is another K-ON! veteran who is designing the characters.

The 12-episode series premiered early Thursday morning in Japan. Sentai Filmworks announced that it licensed the anime for North America and The Anime Network added that it will begin running the anime on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. EST.
