Star Driver Film Earns 35 Million Yen in 1st 3 Days

Star Driver the Movie earned 35 million yen (about US$370,000) in the first three days since it opened at the Japanese box office on 24 screens on Saturday.

The film features an overhaul of the Star Driver Kagayaki no Takuto story that revolves around the fates of Takuto, Wako, and Sugata, as well as a segment about the characters' lives after the main events of the television series. This past weekend included a holiday on Monday, National Foundation Day.

One Piece Film Z, overseen by original manga creator Eiichiro Oda, has now earned 6.71 billion yen (US$71.7 million) in the 59 days since it opened on December 15.
